The corporate activities of Marubeni can be broadly divided into three types: Corporate Management Activities including investments in various types of projects; Social Responsibility Activities for responsible conduct as a corporate citizen and contributions to society; and Environmental Preservation Activities for the protection of our planet. We believe that balancing the results of these three types of activities against our business results is essential so we can be a company that can achieve sustainable growth while co-existing and prospering with society. Such a harmonious relationship with society cannot be achieved through the activities of the Marubeni Group alone. Ongoing cooperation with stakeholders is essential. Marubeni America Corporation's Charitable Contributions Program


Marubeni America Corporation ("MAC") has established a company-wide Charitable Contributions Program ("CCP") in which MAC provides financial and other support to non-profit, tax-exempt organizations which are "Eligible Organizations" as defined in the CCP policy. The budget for the CCP is set annually.

MAC has established the following CCP mission categories/areas of support: (1) Japan Cultural & Educational, (2) Local & Business Community, and (3) Employee Philanthropic. For the Local & Business Community mission, MAC supports high impact organizations and initiatives that seek to build strong communities, prioritizing those that support Marubeni's core business and strategies and the local communities where Marubeni has a significant presence. For the Employee Philanthropic mission, MAC has established employee programs for (1) charitable donation matching and (2) volunteerism.
